This post is sponsored by Basic Invite, my new favorite place for cards and invitations. All views are my own!

One of my favorite things is coming across little notes or cards my grandma wrote, or notes a friend passed to me in middle school. It seems like a small, insignificant thing, but when sweetly written notes pop up, especially as changes to a recipe in an old cookbook, I remember how important it is to not rely solely on texting and reminders in our phones.

In the age of digital everything, it can be difficult to remember the importance of picking up a pen and writing a personal note to someone. I have to confess that I have struggled with this for quite some time. I mean, is it better to send a text? Or an email? Is it creating too much clutter for others to send them a physical piece of paper? SO MANY QUESTIONS. WHAT ARE THE RULES?

I think I've finally gotten into the mindset that most of the time, a handwritten note is going to be appreciated far more than an email. You don't have to say a lot, but showing that you took the time to sit down and write the note, address the envelope, and pop it in the mail goes a long way. I also really want my kids to see me writing on paper rather than always typing on my computer or my phone. I can't be the only one who feels this way, right?

I'm also taking this into account when it comes to my businesses. Set the Table is a blog, but sometimes people want to see the photos in print. Rachael Lauren Photography is a web-based business, but there is a connection people make when they hold a postcard with photos looking back at them that can't always be accomplished via computer screen. I'm already so overwhelmed with images when I open my phone or my laptop, so having something physical to hold in my hand takes it to another level.

I recently ordered some sample postcards and thank you cards from Basic Invite. They produce lovely invitations, cards, postcards and more and I was thrilled with the quality of their work. You know when you order from a huge company and it all feels SO impersonal? This process felt different to me. They have so many options so you can personalize whatever you're ordering, and there is obviously a lot of care and effort that goes into producing and mailing their products.

Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order. This was SUPER helpful for me, especially when I ordered my Set the Table postcards. I wasn't sure how my images would look in print and it was nice to know I could get a sample before ordering a bunch of them.

Whether you  need to create graduation announcements, college graduation thank you cards, or order some new business cards or postcards for your business, Basic Invites will not let you down.

Plus, if you have beautiful stationery around, it becomes much easier to send those handwritten notes when you want to do something a little more than send a text.

And here's some good news: Right now Basic Invite is offering 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51. YOU'RE WELCOME.
